My dear Sir.
A few days since Dr Brewer handed me your letter to him with the marked list of Illinois Reptiles, saying that you were to send on some specimens to the Boston Society of Natural History - and desired me to write to you, and tell you what specimens I should wish for the Herpetological Cabinet. Should you be able to send You the following specimens, the way that Seems best to You - we should be greatly obliged
Chelonians Cistuda blandingii[underlined in red] Emys Relli[underlined in red] - " - Ophidians Crotalaphorus tergeminus[underlined in red] & if possible Crotalopi. Kirtlandii[underlined in red] Eutarnia radix or proxima[underlined in red] Nerodia sipeom Regina grahamii[underlined in red] or Kirtlandii[underlined in red] - " - Batrachians Hyla triseriata Ambystinia lurida[underlined in red] or pinictata[underlined in red] Nitophthalnius miniatus[underlined in red] or virivescens[underlined in red] Hemidactylium Scutatum - " -
Those which I have underlined with red, I should be very glad to get living specimens of if possible -
