P. F. Office Dec 2(?) Wednesday

Dear father

Heritage came in to the office this morn=ing to inquire about money I told him I had heard that all the chimneys were worthless - He said you had not mentioned it in your letter -

It is my intention to go out next Saturday on the 1 o.c. PM train and walk up from the depot. Should the tea horses need exercise and the roads be passable, I would like Major to meet me (on horseback) - but I suspect it will be muddy & bad. if so dont send for me - I shall walk along the road as far as John Sabines place and then cut across. Ill send things out by Uncle Will, or stage - If any body should be in I would go with them
