Dear Bob. You see how it is - I'm in the committee Rooms again - shrieking for Freedom at and $3.00 per diem, and cough drops thrown in - and as a natural sequence - during business(?) hours, it is excessively difficult(!) for me to speak, write or act in any other than the prescribed orthodox manner.
But - to come to the point

I have sent by Express to your address at Racine - care Dr Hoy. - a box of mice, and enclosed please find receipt for same. I thought it best to send by Express, in asmuch as - it is fully expeditious, less expensive and a great deal safer, as anyone who had any experience in Post office official's modes of doing business can testify - I am improving in health slowly but surely - have had, as yet, no serious drawback and under the toxic influence of Cinchona, Iron & Strychnine, am rapidly regain ing that Herculean strength for which I wasn't noted before my sickness. To come back to your hobby - and, for a divergence from which, please accept my most humble excuses - no squirrels Lev aniv!

[page turned, written diagonally] P.P.S. I have not yet gone back to College, as the weather has been too cold and I have been too weak. I think of waiting until the class in Practical Chemistry is started & then go ahead - I should derive precious little benefit by going back now; besides which in addition to my P.F. & Ch. Adv. duties, I am in the Kansas Com.'s Rooms for two weeks 6 hours per day - $3 per day -
