Status: Needs Review

Philadelphia April 4th 1857

My dear Sir,

Many thanks for the package of
mammals which arrived safely today. Allow me
to enclose the amount of postage paid on them.
My father when he returns home will be de-
lighted to find them, & I shall leave your letter
with him to execute the commissions, regarding
pins. I leave next Wednesday for Honduras
on a trip of four or five months, and am
therefore now very busy with preparations
for my journey, & therefore trust you will
excuse my writing in such haste, and beleive
me to be,

Ever sincerely yours
John L. LeConte

Mr. R. Kennicott.
