Philadephia April 12th 1857.
Dear Sir,
The letter containing draft for $10. arrive safely. I have given Mr. Haldeman & my father instructions regarding the pins when they come, & you will therefore duly receive them, I hope.
I sail for Honduras next Wednesday, & will be absent for 5 months.
Make an excuse to Dr. Hoy for me, for omitting to send the Cicindelae prom ised. I was in such haste after the insects were named that I had to look in all directions at once, & as Mr. Guex died about that time, I had no one to attend to it for me, & it thus completely escaped me. It shall be remedied on my return.
