Dear Cousin Bob -
The reason that I have not written before is that I dont like to commence a correspondence with any one, as I am not always sure that they will be pleased, but to day I shall put my pride aside and take it for granted that you would like to hear from me.
I am very glad to hear that you are better I was afraid when I heard that you was sick that you would be so a long time.
I have just been out in

the grove to see if I would find any flowers but I did not succeed very well the weather is so cold that scarcely any of them flower.
Do you find many wild flowers where you are? I shall try to collect some specimens this year but I am afraid that I shall find considerable troubles in naming them.
Annie spent her vacation out here she desired one to say to you "that she remembers you as some one that she used to know and like." she is realy quite vexed with you for not going to see her last winter, and no amount of reasoning will convince her you could not come to see her if you had wished to, I dinot think that she is very well, and is trying to a great deal more than is good for her. she is studding German and

editing a paper for her school which is semi monthly and of course it takes all her leisure time.
Dealia is in great trouble about uncle Leony he has had no man for some weeks, and is so lame that he cannot walk out of the house.
Uncle Will brought out a teacher with him. I do not know whither I can go or not.
Uncle Hirams team has come down I don't know who has come down
