My dear Sir:

My father says that last
summer Dec. (2nd 1857) he forwarded by Howard
Express 10,000 pins to you, expressage
paid. to "Anna, Illinois." Did they arrive?

I got back 3 days ago in good
health. & am ready to work again at
entomology. & shall be glad to hear from
you again on that & other subjects.
& in great haste, remain ever
