I received today the missing monies, from Ft. Garry. The letter was Post marked Pembina. Oct. 6

Yesterday came a small tin box with arvicolae. birds and eggs of Yukon: very nice things.

Burbank writes Oct. 29, that Mr Ross will hardly get to St. Paul this fall. and that he has no expectation of getting our boxes this year. Better write to [illegible] Mactavish what precautions to take, to keep them safe over winter.

Come on to Washington any how if you feel like it. Collections here or not
