[illegible] 229. - tail broken. 15. 17. - . Dr Thos H Webb St Magdalen Sonora Schott

This very[strikethrough] beautiful and strongly marked species cannot be confounded with any other The plates of the head as well as the general coloration furnish abundantly distinguishing characters. The three colors each have[strikethrough] immaculate glossy and clear form [illegible][strikethrough] [illegible] a striking contrast and the red is probably carmine in life thus affording the most beautiful coloration possessed by any North American snake.
