Mess. John A & Charles Kennicott
Gentelman!
I have accompanyd last year one of the Agent's
of Ellwanger & Barry [?] to take orders for
trees and I believe I might sell some to the
farmers round here this year. For this por-
pose I might purchase the trees of you, be
cause I am convinced that our home grown
trees would do still better as the New York
trees did. I have your Catalogue and I should
be obliged if you would send me Notice how
many procents you would give me on your
Catalogue prices. I would pay you about to[crsd out]
2 month after receiving the Articles and I
could give you security on Chicago property
for that time. Perhaps Dr Kennicott re--
members me, I used to be Assistent of Dr Haney[?]
at the time Mr Robert Kennicott was at the
College
Very Respect fully
E. Wernigts.
