I hope you will enjoy your visit but you
must not think of staying more than a week. You
must make my apology to Laurie and if you can
pursuade her to return with you and pay me a visit.
Tell her she will be none the worse for it if she
is no better.

It is very cold indeed. My hands are so
stiff I can scarcely write and as Mr Welch will be with you
