My wilful cousin,

Your favor of 14th[underlined] came very duty to hand and
I have very duly set my pen to work in answer and first of all
I want to inform you that I think you are a very naughty
boy. Your aunt can dispense with your company as easy as not I know
and mother and I both want you here

I am sorry Asa is sick. I hope he does not
mean to give us the slip and go right on to New York
Fathers address is 224 Maiden Lane he wished me to tell Asa
to excuse his not writing he thought that Mr Welch would
tell you when he was going.

You must be a good boy and help Laurie
you can do a good deal if your only a mind to ---
I do not wish I was with you for I would not like

We have had a letter from Rodolph
since you went. He is coming home to spend Thanks=
giving and is going to New York. He says the Siamese
twins are on exhibition there. They will probably soon
