Dear Kennicoot,
Since receivingyour
very kind letter which showed that you
have a great deal more confidence in
in me than I have in myself I have been
trying my had at and article on Timber
"growing on the Prairies" (growing on the prairies is underlined) I have have run
over with a pencil some 20 pages of this size
paper and think I can go it (got it has two unlines) you may
therefore put me down for an article with
the above title, which I will endeavor
to forward to Sprinfield by "Our member"
of the Legislature, who by the way is a right
clever fellow ---- If I can get timee I should
like to furnich an essay on the hackneyed
subject to fruit growing (fruit growing is underlined), but more not from
use it now.
I have not been well___ed I look much younger
than when you last saw me____ But I have you
on to a new place _____have had a house to build
a nursery to take care of and a form to work
. The old place, known as Fruit Farm has been
given up to my oldest son who will I think
keep it in good order.
