Text of Petition: 4-1-1803-1
To the Honourable the General Assembly of the
State of Tennessee to Sit in Knoxville on the
third Monday in September 1803 -
We your humble petitioners do beg that your
Honours will take our present grievances into
Consideration. Since your Last Session we have
had two Justices of the Peace die in Captain
Abraham Looney's Destrict (viz.) John Mar-
-gin Esq. and John Mancey Esq. Now we your pe-
-titioners do pray that your Honours will ap-
-point Jon Jennings a Justice of the peace in
the Room of John Mancey Esq. and your petitioners
as in Duty bound will Ever pray &c. &c. -
