It is called Bura-Burabra
or shortly Burabra (the a like
ah) and I think I remember
you have some notes in
reference to it. The Burabra
is a very large tribe extending
from say Mathoura (between
Deniliquin and Moama)
on the South and from
say Jeriliderie or Warandera
on the East to the Mulamein
on south east Dry lake on
north east. They are
divided into the Kamilaroi
classes except that they
call Kumbu Woombi and
Ipai Yipi. You will see
by the enclosed that they
resemble the Wonghi in
their marriage laws and
say that a Yipi wouldn't
be properly married if
he married a Kubitha
but I couldn't ascertain
how they would manage
if they married a
Waradjeri. My informants
would only say, "Oh
