I of these the following are customary to the Kamilaroi law
Ipai + Matha
Kumbo + Kubbitha
Murri + Ipatha
Kubbi + Butha

If the descent is in the female line : then
Ipai - [Willi - crossed out] Yunghi + Matha guring would give Kubbi guring
but if male descent ditto would give Kumbo Yunghi

II (1) The list shows that [of the Ipai - crossed out] Mukulo four totems of
two are common to both classes - one to each class
(2) So also of the five totems of Budthung - these belong
to both classes - while some belong to several classes
(3) The [??] may be that the master totem of Mukulo - belongs to both
of its classes

III [(4) - crossed out] Does the word Mukulo = Relating to dry + Budthung
means "relating to wet"?

IV Is it possible that descent is in the male line?
If so would account for these peculiarities in the class
system?
