My friends in this colony have
been urging me to publish
some chapters on this mission
and the manners and
customs of the Aborigines.
I shall probably do so
I am gettin on with the
work. It will be but
small. But neither my
engagements nor my
health will permit me
to stick very closely to it.
I send you by this mail
a copy of some selections
from Holy Scripture in
the Language of the
Narrinyeri. I thought it
might be interesting to you.
It needs revision however.
But the people here
are learning English so
fast that it will not
be worth while to revise
it. However I have
part of the worship in
the vernacular of the
Narrinyeri every Lord's
