In filling up the blank schedules the mistake has sometimes been made
of translating the question into the native dialect instead of giving the
specific term of kinship required.

Thus, in the Fijian schedule, this mistake would run as follows:-

Description of Relationship. Native Term. Translation.
My brother's son's wife Wati i luve i taciqu Wife of son of my brother.
The correct answer is Luvcqu My daughter.

May I ask you to fill up the accompanying schedule and to address it to
me, care of Rev. Stephen Rabone, General Secretary of Wesleyan Missions,
Surry Hills, Sydney, New South Wales? Due honor will be given to all who
help in the work, and their names will be printed in full at the head of their
schedules.

I have the honor to remain, Sir,
Your obedient servant,
LORIMER FISON.
