who kindly got them water & fish
to supply their wants", & ['after' crossed out] guided
them back to camp at Pando.
p. 7. McKintay gave a sickly boy a
good meal. During the night the
boy's father came to the camp bringing
back an axe the natives had stolen
during the day. (* gratitude)
