Dear Sir,

I am in receipt of your letter - dated 15th May 1972 and the contents carefully gone through. Infact I must confess how so worried I was when your reply was delayed, Now I am happy and looking to the day when we shall see in Lagos. My second one man show falls during the time you will be in Lagos at the German Cultural Centre Lagos, on the 28th Wednesday lasting a week in June. This will be a very nice opportunity in seeing my works of art, paintings and prints. During the opening 28th of June to the end of June I shall ask if you have come from the U.S.I.S. Lagos I think they will know your movements.

I am seriously looking forward to seeing you and seeing my paintings at the Goethe Institute Lagos. I am happy to tell you that my work is progressing and that I am sound. I remain

Hi: Happy new year to all the Driskells. Since all your desires and dreams seem to "jell" -- I desire a repeat of 1971 for you. Smiles. Wanda (?) and I left home on Dec 26 for "Disney World" and the Orange Bowl Game. We stayed in Orlando three days and have spent the other time in Miami. We leave after the game on Jan. 1st. We appreciate the painting.

I didn't know that Albert had written you seeking charity. Smile! I'll have it framed. I have been so busy at xmas doing Post office work. I'll write again when I am at home. Again we are grateful and indebted. How about (Hook's ?) ceramics?

Dear David,

I would have written you before now but I called Fisk sometime ago I was to you were sill in Africa not until Christmas time when I met Toye in Denver and he told me you have returned back to the States.

I hope you enjoyed your tour of Africa? I am now in Albuquerque for three weeks seminar and I will be finish here on th 19th and return back to Colorado. 22nd of this month I will start another program for the American Council on Education which will involve in another tour of two weeks to the South and Washington DC. I will finish with this on th 15th, of Feb, For your information I was offer Facalty appointment at the University of Delaware as visiting professor and Distinguished Visiting Artist in Residence for one Semester.

I have to report in the University the 29th of this month and then go away for one week to Complete my lecture tour for the American Council on Education in vareous colleges. How are the whole members of your Family? Especially the big boy (Your Grand son) I remember him more than any one in the Family Any, give my regards to every body.

By the way. I met an old Friend here (a Nigerian) by Name Emanuel Olu — Oduntan. He want to chance his school here to some where because he is lonsome here and he want to be in School where he can meet a lot of Blacks. Any way I gave him your Address and promised

to write to you. Please help him if there no room for him.

Toye told me of your kindness to him in Nashville. I thank you very much for this. By the way. What Plan are you making for the African Festival of the Art 1974 in Nigeria? Any way I will write to you again or call you when I get to Washington D.C. would you please use the Following Address in Reply.
