Dear David:

It is a great pleasure to know that you will participate in
the exhibtion and sale of works by Skowhegan-associated
artists opening December 7th at the Kennedy Galleries in
New York.

The School has received committments from over sixty artists
assuring us of their participation in the exhibition. The
final group will be about one hundred.

An illustrated catalogue devoting a page to each artist and
his/her work is contemplated.

The School has also retained professional assistance for
assemblying the works and for the hanging and display of the
works in the most effective manner possible.

We ask that you return the enclosed forms as soon as you have
determined the work you will submit. If you have some
question about the appropriateness of any piece, please talk
to either me or Roy Leaf at the New York office.

If you have difficulty providing a quality photograph suit-
able for reproduction in the catalogue please be in touch
with us so that arrangements may be made to obtain one.

We would like to compelte all selections by the end of
September so that the catalogue can be prepared without
pressure or overtime costs.

Finally, hold open the evening of Wednesday, December 7th.
A dinner for the artists and their spouses, Skowhegan
Trustees and Patrons will be held at the Metropolitan Club
prior to the opening at Kennedy Galleries. We look forward
to your joining us as our guests.

Sincerely,

John Eastman, Jr.
Executive Vice President
