Hi David,
It appears that I am always writing letters that begin with, 'sorry it took so long to write, but . . . .' Anyway, sorry it took so long to write, but that is one of my greater weaknesses.
To bring you up to date, I am working at the Saginaw Art Museum as research librarian which will be extended to registrar/librarian in the near future. I love it! Prior to my coming here, the museum catered mainly to the white upper class. Since I've been here, I met, and became interested in a Black artist guild and have been able to schedule an exhibition for them in June 1981.
You have been quite an inspiration to me. Because I do not write, don't think you are forgotten. I'm still looking forward to re-meeting you, now that I am past the toddler stage.

Dear David
Thanks ever so much for breaking the silence. I was becoming a bit concerned, although I understand how involved life is at times. I suppose you must also feel at times that the day is not long enough.
This was meant to be a short note to acknowledge receipt of your letter & the book "David Driskell: A Survey." Many thanks. I shall be happy to share this gift with others.
Yours sincerely,

Peter

Dear David,
Must have been that tower!
In any case, a great kid. She looks just like Momma. What Dad could ask for more?
Best with everything,
