[image alt text: This is the painting seen in image 14 and now hung correctly. The landscape shows a cream colored shoreline with dark rock formations and the sea beyond. In the distance to the right of the image is an embankment with the tops of trees behind and to the far right of the canvas. There is a cloudy sky with hints of pink and blue and a dark but faint horizon line on the surface of the water.]

Mr. Charles McGill [text below is blacked out]
Dear Charles;
Please forgive my not writing before now but my work has kept me rather busy, first out of the country in January and back to more work later.
I enjoyed seeing your slides and will be recommending you for shows, etc. from time to time. Keep me posted on what you are doing and stay in touch.
Barbara Lapcek asks about you whenever I see her. Stay well and thanks again.
Sincerely,
David C. Driskell

Dear Everette:
You have been so kind to send along your wonderful articles and I want to thank you. Please do not interpret my not writing as being a negative. I was thoroughly impressed with your enthusiasm for art and the breadth of your human interest and concern. Indeed, you really are a rare and precious Renaissance man.
Please continue to send copies of your articles and essays. They are prized works. I will get together some writing to get off to you in the near future.

Thank you and your wonderful children for the beautiful letters. I enjoyed reading each one as they are both truthful and personal.
The article on Elizabeth Catlett, who was at one time married to Charles White, should be out real soon. Hope you have a chance to read it.
I am enclosing some photo copies for the students. Thanks again for the letters.

Ms. Marilyn Farley Art-in Architecture Program General Services Administration Public Building Service Washington, DC 20405
Dear Marilyn:
So good to know that things are moving along with the SSA Program Center Commissions. So sad about Romare passing but you will have his art as a testimony to Bearden
Your poster brochure is very attractive. I am sure that the response will be good. I am planning to order several posters for my own file.
My best to you and please stay in touch.
Sincerely, David C. Driskell
