Mr. Moe A. Brooker c/o Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts School 1301 Cherry Street Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19103;
Dear Mr. Brooker
I am taking the liberty of responding to your letter of October 4 to Dr. Driskell as he is away working with a London based film company making a documentary for BBC Television. I shall present your letter to him upon his return but your request date for the work of art may be difficult to meet since he is not due back immediately.
I am certain that Dr. Driskell will respond upon his return. Best Wishes for the success of your art auction.
Sincerely,
Ophelia Speight Administrative Assistant

Professor David Driskell [blacked out text] Dear Dr. Driskell: Your lecture on Black art and artists on November 29. 1989 at the [date circled in red pen] Columbus Museum of Art was very stimulating to me, hence this letter. I would very much appreciate it if you could send me a vitae and your standard lecture fees. Also I would like the title and publishers of the three historical overviews you have authored.
My reason for requesting the above is that I am beginning to plan for a possible 1992 conference on general and liberal arts education sponsored by the National Association of General and Liberal Studies. One of the agenda items of this association and one I think would be appropriate for the 1992 conference is the matter of including cultures and perspectives often overlooked or ignored in the U.S. educational process. Your words on inclusion and quality were words hugher education needs to hear.
Your consideration on these matters would be greatly valued. Please know that your lecture was a great inspiration to me. As always, I am Sincerely, RwCarstens[signature] R.W. Carstens Professor
