Dr. James R. Lawson
President
Fisk University
Nashville, Tenn. USA

Dear President Lawson:

I have had a most rewarding visit to several West African nations and have settled down to my work here at this great university. It is a wonderful place and I was warmly and most royally received.

My work will be mainly advising and helping to set up the art curriculum here along with conducting several lectures on the subject of Afro. American art.

I am to see the Vice-chancellor on Monday to confirm with him about mutual programs in which we may find corporation at Fisk and if I shall report to you on the progress of this conference.

I am also enclosing a letter (copy) to my owens. Best wishes to all.

Sincerely yours
David Driskell
Visiting Professor of Art
