Mr. David Driskell Fisk University Nashville, Tennessee
Dear Mr. Driskell: Just a note to let you know that I recieved your letter. I had also recieved the slides much earlier. I'd like to know when I see you about the progress of our slide orders. You will recall that our Library ordered your whole Collection. I made a second order selecting certain artists for the art dept. I am glad you're coming to the AAM meeting. Our new Oakland Museum will recieve much attention. Our art Cuator Paul Mills will be there, so make yourself known to him and during a break in your Conference, he'll show you through our museum. We would like for you to have dinner with us while you're in the Bay Area. We could call for you if necessar. Phone me at work during the day (blacked out info). Our home (blacked out info) Hope to see you soon. Best wishes. Sincerely, Claude Clark

Dear David Driskell: It was good to get your letter of July 14, 1969. It was truly good to finally meet you, and I was amazed how much we seem to be traveling the same road. I don't know whether I ever was able to Clear up the two orders for slides from Merritt College. The Art dept. selected at least 300 slides and our library ordered everything in your Catalog. I hope that you have recieved your originals from Prothmann Associates, Inc. by now. I cannot see why Fisk can't hire a full time staff member to work with the slides. There are several ways that orders could be filled faster. You could have a stamp for each slide, or simpliest (?) of all would be a number that could be written quickly on each slide. If it Corresponds to a number on our Catalog list I don't feel that anyone would mind writing on the name of the Artist and the tittle when they recieve their orders. Let me know what's happening, and have a good vacation. Best wishes. Sincerely, Claude Clark
