Dear David:
It was good to see you when you stopped by earlier in the year. I thought that you might appreciate these photographs.
I did retire in June 1981 , so it is difficult to know what to do first. My wife and I had the grandchildren with us during the summer. We enjoyed them, but they wore us out.
I expect to be able to travel to some campuses during the 1982. I will also have a show here in Oakland in March.
Regards to your family. Best wishes . Sincerely Claude

Dear Brother Driskell:
By now you probably know that I have been invited along with other WPA artists to exhibit at the Museum of African American Art in Los Angeles next Spring/Summer at the time of the Olympic events.
I imagine that you must be on leave, and working on both your visual art and some writing. I tried to reach you before I left Atlanta.
Please let me have a phone number where I can reach you during 1984, If you're not going to be at home. Hope that you and family are well.
Best wishes. Sincerely Claude
