Dear David, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year - and also to tell you I heard from Walter and he seems to be much better - and has an apartment & studio not far from each other & he said he is working.
Speaking of working I have done a few things - and since I had a few moments of peace - I though I'd drop a line, I wonder if your a still interested in me having a show down there. I certainly could use the opportunity.
Anyway - let me know what you think over

9/3/70 Dear David. This is just a little note to let you know whats [sic] happening. First of all I heard from Walter and he is working pretty steady and is going to have a show next year. Georgia Jessup called me up from Wash. DC. and mentioned she knew you quite well. Since I havent [sic] heard from you over the summer, I was wondering about our joint venture (show) Anyway my show [sic] the opening is Tues Sept 22 and will run until Oct 10

Dear David
I got this new building and I've been busy getting it together and trying to work - I've done about 12 new paintings (a little larger as I have the space -. The building where I teach was thinking of moving so since we alway's had a gallery, I decided to have a small show - even that is hard work - I received a grant from the NY State Cultural Council Foundation - part of the grant is a 3 month Community project - so I'll set up some art work shop's at the Fort Greene Com. Center - The what my show was bombed comming & going - I was in the show -
Walter wrote me, said he's not doing to much of anything - idea's are hard to come by.
I hope your wife received my (belated) present - Say - give my regards to Earl & Greg --

I HOPE YOU SOBERED UP FROM THE BIG BASH YOU & EARL HAD. MUST OF BEEN QUITE A THING. ANYWAY - RIGHT ON - CAUSE WE NEED THAT KIND OF THING TO KEEP THE JUICES FLOWING.
IM GOING TO HAVE ABOUT 14 PAINTINGS AT THE READING PUBLIC MUSEUM FROM MAY 14 - JUNE 14 -
THERE IS A NEW NEWSPAPER OUT CALLED THE NY AGE - IF YOU FEEL LIKE WRITING SOMETHING - LIKE THAT SHOW IN (BLACK [ESTHETIC?]) [LEFT MARGIN: (REVIEW)] CHICAGO - OR ANYTHING ON YOUR MIND - JUST SEND IT TO ME - I'M IN VERY TIGHT WITH THE CULTURAL EDITOR.
THAT'S ABOUT IT - I OWE LETTERS TO ALL THOSE CATS OVER THERE - GOT A POST CARD FROM CLIFF - HE MENTIONED YOU.
