Dear Mr. Driskell,
I was interested in the "Two Centuries of Black American Art" and Philip Morris
referred me to you. If you put it together again I would appreciate information on it
appearing in my town.

My reason for writng is that I am trying to gather materials for a multi-media exhibition of Black Americans. I have tentatively scheduled it for the third week in February at
St. Peters United Methodist. I am trying to beg, borrow or purchase at reduced cost any material which I might use. I have not idea of what service you can be of to me so I will merely state what I hope to show.

I have U.S. postage stamps, U.S. commemorative coins, some calendars, some
members of congress, films, records and the printing "Forward" by Jacob Lawrence. I have sent for the remaining people in Congress, and newspaper front pages. I really want more art work, at least 10 pieces. I also want to get pictures framed or suitable for framing of outstanding Blacks, past and present.

I am trying to defray all cost as a service to my church and community. Although I am shooting for the third week in February, my schedule is very flexible. If it seems that I can be more successful by moving the date later, I would do that.

Thank you for any help or ideas you might be able to give me.

Sincerely,
Frank L. Scott, Jr.
