Count that day lost whose low desending
Views from thy hand no worthy activid[?]

The heights by great men reached & kept
Were not attained by sudden flight
But they while their Companions slept
Were toiling upward in the night

Reading makes a full man. Writing
makes a correct man, Conversation
makes a ready man but thinking makes
a great man.

He that has light with in his own clear breast
May sit in the centre and enjoy bright day
But he that hides a dark soul & foul thoughts,
Benighted walks under the midday sun

Attempt the end & never stand to doubt
Nothing so hard but search will find it out

this above all to thine own self be true
and it must follow as the night the day
Though canst not then be fake to any man
