Johnston & Bennehan
Esteemed Friends

I have this day rec'd your favour of the 12th Inst: by Zeb Veasy, Tyre Harriss's Waggon also came in with them which I have loaded back with Salt & have sent you by Boyds Waggon the goods & articles at foot. Veazey has engaged some other Work as he came down, & says it will be a week before he setts of. I shall get your Tobo look'd at as soon as I can observe your directions therein, Exchd. at last Court was 20 pcs. I am very sorry to hear of the Disturbances in your County & am affraid it will be a long time before they are settled, & I doubt the Consequences will be ruinous to many

If you can depend upon your advices from the Wes: Manch I would advise you to send all your Tobo. there & turn your Trade wholly into that Channel, for I think you may dipend that Tobo. will not be more here this season than 20/. if more than 18/. there is no price yet fully fixed -

I am very respectfully
Your assured Friend
Edwd Stabler
