Jhonston and Bennshan are well known merchants of the time. I keep seeing Bennshan spelled several ways Benshan, Bennchan, etc. I looked further and didn't realize that BENNEHAN is the man well known for encouraging UNC established, etc. The earlier transcriber here knew this.
