I have just now recd. the inlcosd Letter for you, & I find by a Letter from John Nixon that he has packd some of the Goods you orderd with mine, which shall be deliverd to your order, if he has mentioned them particularly to you they are as under. I have not time to add as the Waggon waits but am your assured Friend Edw Stabler

Petersburg Decemb. 28. 1772 Gentlemen Your favour of the 18th Inst. to Mr. Stabler came safe to hand. Enclos'd is Acct. of Sundries sent you & pr bearer Timothy Cain; with Invoice of Sundries from Whitehaven which with safe to hand. Upon examining the Warehouse have found 2 Bundles Spades & 1 Bundle Fryg Pans which have also sent pr bearer as to the Steel can give no account whether it has been sent or whether it ever came to hand. Have sent you apt. Roles instead of the pr. of Damagd you returnd; tho' it contains ½ [Ellmore?] shall make no alteration in the Book. Below is the weights of Six Hhds Tobacco which is all we have been able to get from the Warehouse yet; but shall send you the rest as soon as they can be got; the Warehouse Gates are shut [at] present. I am in Mr. Stablers Absence Gentn. Your most hble Servt. Thos. Marshall
