Hillsboro Nov 22nd 1774

Dear Sir

Mr Reid brought me your Favor of this day the accounts you give, alarms me much of Mr. Martin's dangr. I have again apply'd to Dr. Burke (Dr Coleman not being present) and he says, he is now convinced that the complaint is Inflammatory and that Mr. Martin must observe his directions very particularly, the vomit as well as the rest; it is not too late, but no time must now be lost. The Dr. says he meant to be understood, that every thing he said in writing was to be observed in this case, so that by what I wrote last night, you'll find I misapprehended him a little, but this will set you right.

Robt Graves was warranted by Mr. Reid, Debt & Costs abt 40/[illegible] I assum'd paymt which please to settle with R. R. when he comes down. Graves left with me a Tob. Co note on Petersburg [Wt. 1000?] which I here inclose.
