Dear Sir
I wrote you on my arrival at Wilmington, by the way of Fayette and refer you to that for an account of my voyage to the West Indies, I could not dispose of any of my Sugar or Coffee at Wilmington for cash, which obliged me to freight a Vessell for this place and same [ ? ] myself by land — am now waiting the arrival of the Vessell — as soon as she arrives and I can get a Boat to Carry my goods to Halifax — shall set out for that Place myself — in case my letter from Fayette has not come to hand — will thank you to send me by first safe conveyance to Halifax my Horse and if you have one amongst your young horses, that will answer for [Jim?] to ride, will thank you to send him ' at the same time, Should no opportunity offer in a short time, I will thank you to hier some person
Person to bring the horses to Halifax and if I am not there, to carry them to Wm. Amis
Mr Black who leaves [this?] for Halifax this afternoon is much in want of a servant if you can without any inconvenience to yourself spare Davie or Frank, and you think they will answer his purpose, you will please to send him to Halifax by first oppy. — my best respects to my sister & family —

The Sloop that our mutual friend Amis went to the West Indies in arrived here yesterday. Capt. Payne says he left Mr. Amis in Martinies in perfect health and was ' to sail from that Island in a few days after he left it on board the Ship Queen of france bound to their Port along with his friend Peyrinnaut
From what I Can learn his adventure and mine will turn out Very well — Please to present my Most Respectful Complts. to Mrs Bennehan & your Children and am most respectfuly
