My dear Mother

I write a little note by Mr Curtis to let you know
that we are all well Father has told you all this news
There [was?] I send you a letter that came this morning;
no news from Maggie. Kiss dear little Alice
I am so glad to hear that she is better. Tell her I will work
for a lady if she wants me tell [Mannie?] hers would have
been [mine?] if the material had been [illegible]- Sallie [Bett?]
speaks of giving up Monday I hope she [illegible] not. My love to all
your children all well & your little baby as well & sweet as ever.
Mama is tolerable I see less of her [than?] I like. Good bye.
