Observations. - the nearer the time of the Moon^s change to noon or midnight the more nearly will the result record with the prediction -- It is also said that less dependence is to be placed on the table in Winter than Summer.

1861 the wagon loads of corn & weight pork

Sept 4th 1861 I sent to Wm Watkins to Tan upon the Shares 20 beef hides of which there was 3 Calf Skins the hides had been put down in Salt & well taken care of & dry.

22 Oct. We got leather of Mr Watkins see bill $17.70. Watkins to be settled out of hides sent
