The Morning is calm cloudy & dusting rain We need some
verry much indeed

John Henderson (Col) Came by Going to work at James Davis's
so I dont get him any more

It has rained a little several times through the day Not
enough to do much good Puss went to Town John's Father told
her he would send John by next Monday I dont expect it

The morning is calm having sprinkled rain several times through
the night I feel better this morning I am mending I think a
little.

George Richard & Jack plowed over our Irish potatoe patch
It took them three hours plowed them verry well with a
turning plow & finished before dinner We planted these potatoes
on the 9th day of April & they have not been worked since only
a bord run over the ridges before they had come up & that, John
dont it We put out our Tomatos that was in the box & wattered
them
