Mary ann bad off ) News came to town that Mary Ann is not expected to live through the day he telegraphed to William & Harry to Lebanon and came home got here at 12 oclock & left immediately to see Mary ann

Mary ann, I went to see her left at 7 got there at 10 1/2 left at 2 1/2 & got home 9 dark 6 1/2 She was some better when I lef
The morning is dark & cloudy & sprinkling rain I left home at 7 oclock & got to Mary ann's at 10 1/2 I found her verry low Not ixpecting to live through the day She is awfully salivated Inflimation seems to have taken place in her stomack & brest

1867 Octr Sat 26 ) The morning is dark & cloudy looks like rain It rained slowly nearly all day yesterday & I was in it going & coming to Mary ann's
Self) I feel this morning verry much worried tho not so much as I expected to be. I went in my Bugga & was well rapt up George went with me rode the Black Mare there & back It rained on us all the way back some times tolerable hard. My hands & arms got wet
