I went to Mary's ) I left this morning & went to Mary ann's Hamon did not come
Hamon I stayed there until later & then came home Richd drove me in my bugga & the Ball horse
Mary ann Dressed ) Mary ann was neatly dressed in a black silk dress she made a little while back for the purpose I told them to dress her in it it was done
The Coffin ) She was put in a verry neat Metalick Coffin the top was open covered with glass & while I was there it was in the parlour She looked verry natural like she was sleeping.
Self in Trouble ) Just before I left to come home I stood & looked upon her for a while & then bid her a final fare well by saying to her "Farewell My dear daughter" & I got home at night in much trouble of mind & weak & exosted & could not rest all night
Mary & my own reflections ) Mary was near & dear to me I was with her mostly through all her troubles, in prosperity & adversity, in sickness & in health & particularly through the War in which she was a greate sufferer & had to travel to different counties to save her property. I was most always with her.

The morning was dark & cloudy but cleared of as the day arose The Wind is in the North & E & a little cool.
George George H. Jno Charley ) George is trying to put on the sheeting plank on the new Smoke house George Hargroves is helping him John is picking out Cotton in George's place Charley is halling up some wood & Preston is a Jointing Shingles.
Preston B Bigby Hamon ) No news today from B Bigby whether Hamon has come or not.
