Tu 20 Edwd Williams came forward and agreed to pay off the debt &
that he had rec'd property of Jno D. Moore's to do so & as
J D Moore ) security for Moore he assoomed to pay the Execution Williams Ed ) Dr Pillow ) Doct A. H. Pillow was present & heard the agreement between
Williams & me I went to Town early & got this matter settled
I am now clear of the Execution & Williams has heretofore
Wm ) agreed to pay.
New Cote ) I got a new Summer Cote It cost the Cote & trimmings & $10.10 ) maken, of Akins $9.50 & Jesse Okes cutting out $1.00 making
all $10.50 I paid for it all I got hom at 2 oclock.

& keep cool all the time. We put milk in at 10 oclock & at dinner

1869 July Sun 11 The morning is clear Wind W. & Warm My General health is about like it has been for some time the braking out on my head this hot weather has been verry anoying I have had my hare on my head cut close & have been a rubbing it with Thomas's Itch Ointment for a week I dont think the ointment is strong enough to do any good it smarts & feels verry disagreeable &c Wm William's health is much better he got home from Giles last Sunday & has been verry bad off ever since until yesterday he is now better some there are a greate many cases of Collera Morbus all over the Country
Mon 12 The morning is clear calm & verry warm Jim & the black horse Jim is helping Andy & Bell to plow over out Corn around George's Wm house this morning William went to Town got some Medicines, Camphor No 6 pain killer & 2 Cedar bucket & something for Medicines Fanna all cost $5.00 he is bad off all evening with his bowels Wm We plowed from 8 to 11 & from 4 1/2 to night extreamly hot killing plowing to man & beast, making 7 1/2 hours work plowing through the day
Tu 13 The morning clear calm & verry warm the boys Jim & Andrew Jim & ) commenced plowing at 6 & plowed on to 10 1/2 & commencing at 4 Andy ) plowing ) and plowed on until 7 making 7 1/2 hours in the day (of work) Wm Wm is some better this morning We finished plowing the Corn near George's house
