Fr 10 / George H. Corn Settled ) The morning is dark & cloudy high Winds from the East and Cold My Gould Watch has not been a doing so well the last day or two inclines to stop I can't see what is the matter George Hargroves has finished halling up his Corn & we divided it after getting my part & pay for the feed I got 40 bbs 1 1/2 bush & he got 28 1/2 bbs & 1 1/2 bushels There is about 12 acres in the field That is making 5 bbs 3 bushels pr acre

1869 December Sat 11 Wm ) The morning is cloudy high wind S. Cold William did not come home last night I stayed intirely by myself Only the blacks around me. William went to a gathering near Spring Hill yesterday I rested verry well all night got up verry early.

Sun 12 / Thos. & Fanna & Children ) The morning is mostly clear Wind S. W. Fanna & Thomas & little Wills & Leyroy came & went back before dinner. Matta W. Jany & Della came & stayed until after dinner We had a verry sumptuous dinner of a Rabbit that was well cooked & good. We enjoyed it verry well.

Mon 13 / Sope ) The morning is clear calm Wind West N. W. It has turned quite cold this morning. I did not rest well last night We are trying to make Sope got every thing going on at it

Tu 14 / Rain / Rain ) The morning is cloudy & raining Comenst rain after part of the night from E. Thomas and Fanna went in the Berush to Town A negro with his Wagon like to have run over them, him & William is after him this morning rained mostly all day

Wed 15 / Rain / Land / Redeemed 15 Dec'r ) The morning ios cloudy & raining Wind S. & cold William went to Calooka today The boys finished redeeming our land yesterday on the West side of the rode Got of Wilson $5.00 of Myer's 5.00 Park tryed every way to disipoint it Got $2.00 in Sugar $1.00 in Butter

1869 December Fri 17 See back ) The morning is a little cloudy Wind N. E. Thomas cut up and salted up his meet today in my Smoke house It commenced snowing about one oclock S. W. After 3 oclock it is coming from W. & N. W. Not much wind [astir?] Mostly calm

Sat 18 / 18 / Medicine Self / Election Convention / There is 2 Saturdays written down look back / Charley $6.00 Puss $1.00 Sugar Felix coat $3.50 ) The morning is a little cloudy & Wind N. W. It snowed until late at night it is about 3 or 4 Inches deep bad time on man & beast William got a medicine German Bitter Watter, It cures the Dispepsey Piles &c tak a wine glass every morning before breakfast This is the day of Election for against a convention & to vote for members of the convention I went to Town and voted for members of the convention to change the constitution, also I voted for "convention" I voted for Nicholson & Thompson for members to the convention V. Tompson will be elected no dout I got Charley a verry good overcoat cost ($6.00) six dollars & Felix a coast cost $3.50 Puss a $1.00 sugar Myself a 1/2 bushel Irish potatoes 40 cts The Snow is melting some Verry cold wind I got home before sun down

1869 December Sun 19 ) The morning is clear Wind S. W. but verry cold The snow melted a little yesterday the cold Wind in the mng & verry chilly My General health some better the piles are no better The medicine I am taking of a morng has not produced any alteration yet. I am taking sulpher & Magnecia of a night it seems to moove my bowels a little.

Mon 20 / Snow / Medicine / Pills / Meal / Rain / Tax ) The morning is cloudy calm S. W. It looks like falling weather the Snow is melting I rested a little better last night than usual. I was bad off several nights back, but better, my nerves is more steady & I did not have to go to the door through the night I have been taking the medicine every morning and the floers of Sulpher and Magnecia every night I have quit the Brant pills since last Saturday. I took the last one Friday morning Charley went to Mill took a full bag at Willbanks It commenced raining at 3 oclock & rained ballence of the day William paid my Tax in Dist. No. 50. $80. for this year

Tu 21 / Rain Rain Rain ) The morning is dark cloudy and a raining rained all night last night and nearly all day Could not get out to do any thing Verry considerable rain Watters are up

1869 December Wed 22 ) The morning is dark & cloudy The Wind has been all night high from the South & S.W. and turned warm & Rained This morng W. & turned quit cool this morning.

Th 23 / Execution $47.00 ) The morning is mostly clear Wind N. I sent by William & he paid of an Execution of Wm Kernel Holden [?] for $47.00 L. F. Lane const. See recpt filed.

Fr 24 / Charley $5.00 ) The morning is clear & cold Wind N. I give Charley five dollars towards pay for his work The blacks was up & around nearly all night it was Chrismas eve & they was quit merry Charley left to go to his Mothers at 12
