23 Began to day to plant corn. 45 acre field. Finished at
home on Saturday the 26th. Planted the old ground at the
Northcross place on Tuesday 29th
Rained Wednesday 30th
30th. May English Peas in bloom to day
Planted sweet potatoes the 1st. day April

Sunday 3 April Saw a good many wheat
out to day. It is probable they might have
several days before
4th. Began to plant cotton to day. Commenced raining
about breakfast time & the planting was suspended the
balance of the day--a few rows only were planted
