Planted White Lady pea in the potato patch, also planted
about 100 hills, 5 peas to the hill, of the Java pea. One
row of the Lady pea was planted in hills

I went to plant some of the Lady and some of the Java
in the field among corn when the other peas are planted

Planted 6 hills of the Java 5 to the hill, & 20 hills
of the Lady, 20 or 25 to the hill, in the north Gin field,
in the first row of peas which runs through the field along
the sedge land embracing the old spring

Thermometer 81° at 12 M.
Resumed the scraping of Cotton to day, with 14 scrapers
They passed over the Strlcklin field, 12 acre Negro house
field & 6 or 8 acres in Negro field - in all about 50 acres
The Corn stalks are somewhat in the way of the scrapers. The
hoe hands passed over the balance of the Huckaby field k chopped
through the Strlcklin & 12 acre Negro house field - being 46
acres they chopped out, besides their work on the Huckaby field,
& besides passing over the corn in the large pond which was
done by 6 hands.
