Know all men by these present that I Henry Irwin of the County& State forewith for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred & ten pounds current money the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge have bagained sold and delivered by these present do bargain & deliver unto John Haywood of the afore mentioned County & State one negro girl named Crissey to have and to hold the said negro girl together with her increase to him said Haywood, his heirs & , forever, and said Henry Irwin do hereby bind myself, my heirs, Executors, and Administrators to Warrant & defend to him the said Haywood the said negro girl Cressey against the claim or Claims of all persons Whatsoever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this tenth day of January 1789 in presence of John Ingles and J. Craven.
