Sans Souci. April 27. 1887. Wednesday 5. P. M

My darling husband. This is the 50th anni-
versary of our wedding day. [which] we hoped to celebrate
on earth at you beloved Sans Souci Oh
my darling you are celebrating it in Heaven
with the dear ones gone before, & your sorrowing
wife is keeping it [at] Sans Souci, without her
precious husband. God grant, I may be spared
to accomplish all I wish to do in [honor] of your
memory & name, see the [Memorial], see the [Monument]
& [pillir] some at least of your [illegible], & then
when God thinks best to take me from earth, Oh
grant he may take me to you, to live with you
through all eternity. Oh that he [illegible] change my
heart & make me good, make me to be [illegible]-
ed & resigned to thy Will. [illegible] his [illegible] spirit
[illegible] my heart & make me his child. My
[children] are kind. [illegible] is [illegible] they have
had yr [portrait] taken & given to me [illegible] to
comfort me in yr absence. I am grateful & it
is a splendid picture [illegible] the eyes are [illegible]
[illegible] [yours] but I value it [illegible] [illegible]
