June William Christy married Patsy Taylor, Kentucky. [m.May 30- dau Edmund Taylor] John W.Berry to Nancy Taylor, do. [dau. Jonathan Taylor] Nov. 8, William Dade to Mrs Sarah Dade. Sally Taylor (Z.T's daughter to Rich'd Woolfolk, Kentucky Jan 9, Died Henry Taylor son of James Taylor, Feb 8, Peter Taliaferro died at Mrs Dade's Apl 22, Col.Edward Carter died at Fredericksburg. Aug 7, John Brock (of Spotsylvania) murdered by negroes. 13, French Gray died (having cut his throat the 9th) at Fred'g. Aouut 1, Sept Edward Young do.(a young Scotchman) at do Sep 5, Mary Battaile wife of Hay Battaile, 7, Richard Brooke, Gent. (below Fred'g) Oct Humphrey McAusland of Fred'g (at Philad'a) took oplate. Nov. 4, George Taylor died 4 o'clock afternoon. 8, Capt Eleazer Callender of Fredericksburg. Dec. 9, Negro woman, Caslow, died. Mr.Richard Thomas, Culpeper, died. NOTES by DR.A.G.GRINNAN. Taylor, son of George, appears to have studied medecine with Dr.[Thomas] Walker, at Castle Hill, in Albemarle Co. 31, It appears that John Moore was brother to Polly & therefore son of Maj.Wm Moore, his other children heretofore mentioned were William, Frances Catlett & Thomas. Jan 24, Mrs Throgmorton & sons named. Dec.16, A Miss Throgmorton in after years who was sister to Mrs Gen.Wm.Madison, died at Gen M's and was buried at Mr.Isaac Walters' on old Porter place in Madison, at the forks of the Robinson & Rapidan. She may have been Miss Sally named in entry of Jan 6, (her name Lucy) Mr.Benj.Porter Grigsby preached two days at Court House. July 26, John Taylor, son of Zachary, arrived from Kentucky. Sept. James Taylor jr. of Caroline, arrived from Kentucky. Oct 5, Wm.Madison of Culpeper & Madison Co. came by on his way to Richmond, as a Delegate to Assembly. Nov. 6, George Taylor, father of the Diarist, was buried at J.Taylor's [the Clerk] in a grave between the graves of the mother and grandmother of the Author. He was 82 years old. Dec.21, James Taylor jr. of Caroline reported arrived in Kentucky. Dec. 5 & 6, Division of George Taylor's land- 400 acres cut off for Col.Frank- other land sold to Edwards. 10, Sale of Geo. Taylor's personality. 27, Negroes allotted to Mrs Dade, widow of Capt Dade, for Dower.
