for Savannah, but as we today found out, there are no Steamers except on Saturdays, he will be obliged (much to his joy, I think) to wait till Saturday when he leaves, (as far as he is conserned [sic]) to go directly to Veteran to send us on some papers. I suppose Johnnie is much larger than when I left, can he talk yet - ask him if he remembers me ? - I hope to get away from here in a very few days after Lord sends the papers. --

Give my love to Wm C. Kiss all your dear little ones for me, especialy [sic] dear Anna & John - My love also to Mall & Floyd, And believe me my ever dearest Sister
