I hope today to hear good
news from all of you my own
darling Mother - It is raining
& miserable today - William
has just been tosee our poor
Cousin she is very sick
he thinks her slightly better
she says the pain is worse

Tillee has a little fever this
morning - the rest all ailing -
but not sick - now my dear
dear Mother pray try and rest

all in the hands of God and
he will do with us as is best
I beg that you will not [de?r]
yourself of Clementine tosend her
to me - I assur you I shall be much
worried if you do - and can manage
very well by myself - so do keep her to
