I had a talk with Billy Williams on yesterday he Informed me that your man Gregory had told him some time Back that he had sold already sold from the plase to the amount of some three Hundred Dollars and that he wanted him (williams) to take the money and Keep it untill you came home williams refused and advised him to put it in Bank to grow Credit whether he has done so or not we do not Know williams says that Gregory is in Town frequently at nights and he understands gambles and lost on one ocasion some $90:00. how true it is I am not able to say although I supose it is the case as williams told me of it for the purpose of telling you Know. I have heard a great deal about him since you left But he is such a harem scarem fellow that is impossible to tell or Know much about his Business I know nothing of my own Knowledge although I have tried to learn whether he is doing right or wrong for you I supose you will be up soon and see to it your= self Every Body in good Health Know news worth namieing Give my Respects to Mrs. Ballard Except then yourself S H Chenoweth
